Brandon Buttars
My name is Brandon Buttars. This is my little blog, version 3.0. I like to move it around and lose all my previous posts so if it seems like I’m missing something, I might be. I’m hoping to be more consistent in my posting and to post more relevant information. I am addicted to buying domain names and own around 20 or so. I’m trying to keep this blog just for more personal things and maybe talking about some of the things I’m playing around with.
I have been involved in web design since around 1999. I taught internet marketing and e-commerce for 2 1/2 years so I have quite a bit of knowledge not only about setting up websites, but also marketing them. My passion is in HTML and CSS. I’m more of a nerd than a salesman.
I’m a Mac guy with a MacBook Pro that I spend most of my time on. I own an HP Windows machine, a Sony VAIO laptop running Windows and Ubuntu Linux and I have my old Dell Desktop curently down in my furnace room operating as my web server. Yes this website is running on that Dell PC. My favorite flavor of Linux is Ubuntu.
I’ve been married since 2002 and have 2 sons so far, but I’m pretty sure there are more kids waiting to come down here to our little family.
I am an entreprenuer but have put things on hold lately so that my spare time can be spent being a husband and a dad. I’m always coming up with new ideas but need to work on planning them out and getting them going. I’m wanting to learn how to program so that I can build any application I want and be a complete web design and development machine.
I’m a social networking nut and a lot of the things I’ve done you’ll find under my social profile name of smoothdzion.
That’s about it for now. I’m sure I’ll organize this about page better later but that enough to learn a little bit about me.
